When I was a kid, there was a X-Men animated series that I'd watch on Saturday mornings. My favorite X-men was Rogue. For villains, the choice is Mystique. Which is funny because Mystique is Rogue's adopted mom. Finding out that it's based on comic book was cool but at the time I wasn't into comics. I've watched all most all of the X-Men movies over the years. But now that I go to my local comic/hobby shop every so often for Orks, a comic with exquisite cover art caught my eye and I had to buy it. I bet you can guess which one, Psylocke (2024) Issue #1. Thank you Stanley "Artgerm" Lau for that cover art (shown below) and writer, Alyssa Wong.

I also snagged a copy with the original cover. Have read all 10 comic books and each issue left me wanting more because I'm so into the whole psychic ninja thing. I'd love to have her powers and physical prowess. She fights the good fight and tries to protects the people she cares about. I find it interesting that she was trained by The Hand and she's trying to be a heroine with the X-Men these days. Turns out I am more of an X-Men fan than I thought, definitely a Psylocke one.
Now there is a new comic, Psylocke: Ninja (2026) and I missed my opportunity to buy it locally. But lucky there are websites willing to ship you comics. I'm eager to read more about her past when she was reborn into Betsy Braddock. I've thought about picking up X-Men (2024) for more Psylocke action but there are 32 issues at the moment. That's a lot $ and reading to catch up on. I could use Marvel Unlimited but I prefer having my own physical copy to read at any time. And its not just a comic book, it is art too that deserves showcasing. So I found a wire framed canvas stand that comes in gold or silver color at Dollar Tree that holds all my Psylocke comics. They are displayed in our living room on our bookcase with Frank Herbert's Dune books box set, Defiance Hellbug in box, and 3D printed stargate shaped coasters from Stargate SG-1.
