The Pastafarians adopted the holiday.

Finding out this happened a while I back, I wanted to learn more. I've known of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster but not the full extent of its creation. I'm shocked that it was a response to Intelligent Design being taught in schools but I'm glad someone spoke up. Even better it was done satirically in a letter.

The letter Bobby Henderson sent to Kansas State Board of Education was well written and hilarious. The claims to why the Flying Spaghetti Monster should be taught along with Intelligent Design and Evolution made sense. The kicker is when it states His chosen outfit is full pirate regalia and anyone teaching the religion should be wearing it out of respect. There is even a part in the letter correlating the decrease in pirates with increase of global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters. Of course, the holiday and religion belong together.

My main worry about a lot of religions is Faith. I feel it allows people to be delusional instead of productive. I don't want children dying from things that can be cured by science because it is against their parents religion. So I'm not a fan of them. But I do believe in FREEDOM of religion, so if you going to teach one you better teach them all and I mean all of them.

Now that I have examined the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster closer, maybe this one isn't so bad. And who's to argue with Ancient Aliens Theorist?🤣But seriously whatever you believe in, be a better person for it, still engage in logic, and have a little fun, matey. How about a tune to get you in the swashbuckling mood?
